CBB Faculty application process and expectations

Faculty application process is as follows;

  1. Submit an updated biographical sketch or CV, and
  2. Provide a statement highlighting the elements of your research program that fall within the scope of biocatalytic sciences (as defined below).

These materials should be sent directly to the Director (mark-arnold@uiowa.edu).  Once received, these materials will be reviewed by the CBB’s Executive Committee for acceptance.

Expectations of Membership: The CBB offers the full spectrum of activities for faculty and their students, ranging from observing as a spectator to joining the decision making team.  We ask that all members, as well as the undergraduate and graduate students in their groups, attend the annual CBB Conference which is held in October of each year ( CBB Conference link ).  In addition, students are strongly encouraged to present a research poster during the conference poster session.

Biocatalytic Sciences is broadly defined as experimental and computational efforts, both basic and applied, that advance the fundamental understanding and general utility of processes intrinsically dependent upon biocatalytic elements, such as cells, enzymes, DNA, and RNA.
