Graduate Programs

Each year the CBB offers predoctoral fellowships to University of Iowa graduate students, funded by grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the CBB. Doctoral students enrolled in CBB participating departments are eligible for fellowships. In general, the program  supports 6 NIH and 5 CBB Fellowships. The program offers interdisciplinary research training in areas that combine basic and applied research in biochemical, biological, chemical, engineering and physical sciences.

CBB is not an academic department associated with a specific College at the University of Iowa. Hence, CBB does not offer graduate degrees. For more information on the CBB/NIH Predoctoral Fellowships, see the Fellowships and Training Grants page.
