Join us for a special summer concert featuring professor Hana Song along with her Studio from Black Hawk College. The program will feature a variety of works from Chopin, Liszt, Brahms, and Albeniz. The students will present a number of chamber music pieces as part of their recent studies have focused on collaborative piano works. 

Hana Song is an active solo and collaborative pianist, as well as teacher. Her performances have taken all over the world - from Saint Petersburg, Russia to Sicily in Italy. At the age of 15, Ms. Song made her solo debut at Seoul Arts Center after winning first prize in Seoul Youth Competition, South Korea. In 2005, she was awarded an American Dalcroze Society's Scholarship to participate in Carnegie Mellon University’s Summer Dalcroze Workshop. She subsequently wrote an article for the American Dalcorze Journals. In 2014, she was a winner of the IBLA Grand Prize International Music Competition in Italy. She also recently performed in Seattle's Benaroya Hall.

Ms. Song earned her Bachelor of Music degree at Ewha Womans University in Seoul, South Korea. She was awarded Dean’s Scholarship at Indiana University at Bloomington, where she received Masters degree. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Musical Arts at University of Iowa, where she serves as a Teaching Assistant to Dr. Uriel Tsachor. In 2015, she joined the faculty of the Black Hawk College in Quad City, Illinois. 

This concert is free to attend and light refreshments will be provided following the performance.
