Coralville, Iowa- November 11, 2022- The Center for Biocatalysis and Bioprocessing (CBB) announces the formation of a student organization dedicated to promoting careers in biotechnology. The official name for this organization is Iowa-Biotech Transition States or Transition States for short. The Iowa-Biotech Transition States group will be governed as a student organization of the University of Iowa and will select a faculty advisor who is part of the CBB faculty. The group’s mission is to advance careers in biotechnology by promoting novel educational experiences, expanding research opportunities and establishing professional networks.
