Unearth a Story: Ice Age Iowa at Kling Memorial Library in Grundy Center promotional image

Cherie Haury-Artz from the University of Iowa Office of the State Archaeologist will present on Ice Age Iowa for adults (ages 19+) at the Kling Memorial Library in Grundy Center as part of their Unearth a Story summer reading program.

This program is organized by the Kling Memorial Library - please contact them if you have questions regarding the in-person program.

Ice Age Iowa program description:

People began moving into Iowa over 13,000 years ago at the end of the last “ice age”. This was a time of giant land mammals, ice, and extreme cold temperatures. Learn about what Iowa was like during this period and how people adapted to the conditions. This program will be accompanied by a display of a sample of real and replica artifacts from relevant time periods.
